Exploring the spiritual landscape of Iceland

Christian by Default is a documentary we released in 2016 with the hopes of educating people inside and outside of Iceland what the spiritual landscape of Iceland is like, many believe we are a Christian nation but when our so called Christian faith is compared to the Bible or church history we are indeed far away from what Christianity has typically been defined as.

In this documentary we interview people on the streets of Reykjavik, and pastors and missionaries on the ground to see what Icelanders really believe and to seek answers to questions such as: Is there a need for a revival in Iceland? And is Iceland truly a Christian nation?

What we found out during the making of this film is that Icelanders chose to identify as Christians by default, and not because of a firm conviction.
